Yes. Every FRISOKIT DIY building comes with a comprehensive assembly manual containing clear, step-by-step instructions and construction drawings. These have been specially designed to guide you, the DIY builder, through assembling both the steel frame and the roof and wall cladding.

You will receive the assembly manual digitally in advance, so you can prepare properly.
You will also receive a hard copy upon delivery of your self-build building.

The major advantage of FRISOKIT is that our buildings are made from cold-formed steel. This makes them up to 30% lighter than traditional steel structures without compromising on strength or stability.

What does that mean for your foundations?

A lighter structure requires a less heavy concrete foundation, resulting in significant savings. In many cases, a lighter concrete slab with double reinforcement is sufficient. However, the exact foundation required always depends on the ground conditions and the local situation.

With every FRISOKIT building, you also receive a foundation plan showing the exact dimensions. This enables you to position your building correctly and ensures a watertight connection at the base.

This gives you a stable, durable and cost-effective foundation for your DIY building.

Working with such precast concrete slabs is possible in some cases for a FRISOKIT self-build building.

Please bear the following important points in mind:

• Do not position the anchor points on the joints between the slabs. Anchoring must always be carried out on a stable, continuous substrate.

• The finishing pieces supplied by FRISOKIT are not designed specifically for precast concrete floor slabs.

• Therefore, you must ensure correct waterproofing at the junction between the floor and the building. A roofing slab may be a suitable solution for this.

By following these guidelines, you can prevent seepage and ensure a durable, correct installation.
