For our structure, the thickness we use depends on the region and the size of the building. The steel thickness of the sandwich panels is 0.50 mm for the outside of the wall and 0.45 mm for the inside. For non-insulated cladding, the steel thickness is 0.50 mm or 0.63 mm.

Yes, you can work with Stelcon plates, but make sure that the anchor points do not touch the seams. Please note: the finishing pieces that we supply are not specifically made for Stelcon plates, so you have to provide waterproofing yourself. A roofing slab, for example, can solve this.

We deliver your DIY steel building kits after just 8 weeks, because we produce everything ourselves, in-house in Belgium. Please put us to the test: you won’t find faster delivery anywhere on the market.

The advantage of cold-formed galvanised steel (CFS) is that we do not use heat to make the profiles. Why do we prefer cold-formed steel to hot-formed steel? In essence, the base material is the same, but by cold forming in the after-treatment, we improve the strength-related properties. In addition, cold-formed steel is much more ecological and sustainable.

You can order a building from us pending a permit or financing. Once you put in the order, we will start drawing up the plans, which you can then send to your architect to apply for the building permit. If something goes wrong, you can always cancel the order for free, with a flat cancellation fee of 500 euros – regardless of the size of your building.

No, we only supply closed buildings. If you want an open building, please contact FRISOMAT.

FRISOKIT only supplies closed buildings. In some instances, for example due to local building regulations, steel wall cladding is not permitted.

If that is the case, we will supply you with the building without wall cladding, and you can then clad it yourself with the material of your choice. If you want an open building, please contact FRISOMAT.

The big advantage of FRISOKIT is that our buildings are made of cold-formed steel, so they are lighter without sacrificing strength. More precisely, they are 30% lighter than other conventional steel structures, which means considerable savings for you on your concrete foundation slab. We recommend a concrete slab between 15 and 20 cm thick, with only the long sides possibly having to be reinforced. Of course, the subsurface plays an important role. We always provide you with a foundation plan with the exact dimensions. Always consult your groundworker or architect to assess the situation on site.

We've been building since 1978, and have now constructed more than 37,000 buildings worldwide. Because our buildings hardly require any maintenance, they are all still in perfect condition today. The lifespan of your FRISOKIT building is therefore 40 to 50 years.

FRISOKIT produces and supplies DIY steel building kits, but we do not assemble them ourselves. FRISOKIT is part of the FRISOMAT Group. FRISOMAT does assemble steel buildings for various purposes.

Our standard truss distance is 4 metres.

Yes. Thanks to our unique Meccano system, you can completely disassemble our buildings for relocation or storage. You can easily reassemble our buildings at a new location, which gives your FRISOKIT building a second life.

We do not rent out buildings at FRISOKIT ourselves. But you can contact our partner Interloods who, like FRISOKIT, is part of the FRISOMAT Group. Interloods rents out warehouses in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Tip: our DIY steel building kits can bedismantled, so you can move or sell them and give them a second or even third life.

Absolutely. For the building we offer you, we take into account environmental factors such as wind and snow load, so you be assured of a weather-proof solution. For example: a building on the coast requires different specifications than a building in a built-up area. That is why we always ask for the location of the building in advance.

That differs from region to region. Is it a new building, or a replacement? Ask the local government if a permit application is needed.
